Purpose

Hanami Place is for artists; a beautiful house and garden to breathe, create or imply be inspired. This spacious accommodation is only 5 minutes walk from the WAYOUT Artspace, the artist run organisation supported by Cementa, “a unique, regionally situated, socially-engaged, artist-led organisation dedicated to cultivating contemporary art in our regional context”. 

Artist discounts

Hanami Place offers a discounted rate for artists. To be considered for the discount, instead of booking via the booking platform (Stayz), please use the enquiry form and include a brief summary about you and your practice – this will start the conversation between us and help to legitimise your artistic practice.

What we ask for in return

It’s simple. After your stay we kindly ask you to share and agree to display a photo of your work created while staying at Hanami Place. Your work will be added to the projects page and credited accordingly (project gallery coming soon…!).

Hanami Place acknowledges the land on which the residency is located and that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay respects to the Dabee Tribe of the Wiradjuri people, to their elders, and to generations past, present and emerging.
